Tech Toys

Life graces us with many serendipitous moments. In pushing myself out of my comfort zone, I networked and met some interesting folks. From those meetings I learned some new technological advances that would be useful in education. I also was offered the chance to use an iPad for awhile to experiment with it for educational purposes. That is what I have now. Not only did I get the iPad, I got a wireless keyboard, a case and an iTunes gift card. All of this from VTSoftware Developers' Alliance.

In my quest to transform education and stop just talking about it, I have found a world that we are not preparing our children for. This is a serious breech of our responsibilities as educators and adults. Our students are sorely lacking the skills needed to participate in the globally flattened world. I aim to rectify this, one child at a time and one district adult at a time.
